Auto Injuries and Conditions We Treat

Neck strain: Neck injuries are common in the sudden, violent deceleration in a collision. As your body absorbs the force of impact, stress to your neck and spine can cause serious internal damage, which can worsen without medical care; an ache becomes debilitating pain before you know it.

Soft tissue/Whiplash: Whiplash is a severe injury that happens when your neck is forced to stretch beyond its normal range of motion. Such an injury is common in an impact when your head is thrown rapidly back-and-forth. The condition is not always apparent and may take several weeks to develop, so it's critical to seek immediate diagnostic treatment.

Headaches: Many injuries can result in extensive or chronic headaches. The location and intensity of the pain may vary. Chiropractic adjustments and spinal manipulation can offer immediate, long-lasting relief with fewer side effects than you might experience with medication.

Neurological and Radiculopathies: Any injuries to the back and head can effect the entire nervous system, causing conditions like radiculopathy (also known as a slipped disk or pinched nerve). Such injuries can occur anywhere along your spinal cord from your neck to your lower back, where it's most common.

Back Pain: Your back is a complex of muscles, tendons, and soft tissues. Some of these tissues connect to the spine; some connect to muscles that work with other parts of the body. All these connections can lead to a chain-reaction of damage.

Shoulder Pain: The muscles and tendons in your shoulders are smaller and even more complex than those in your back, making injuries difficult to identify and diagnose. Pain in your shoulders may indicate injuries elsewhere; ignoring it could lead to further injury.

Knee Pain: A collision puts tremendous stress on your joints and ligaments as inertia tries to pull your body in various directions. The knee is a major joint that connects to the largest tendon in your body; damage to either is not uncommon in a wreck and limits your mobility.

What Treatments Do We Offer?

Chiropractic: Chiropractors treat pain and injuries throughout the body. Adjustments reduce pain and inflammation – sometimes instantly – and may increase your range of motion. Our chiropractors work in conjunction with other specialists to apply the most effective healing strategy for you.

Physical Therapy: Natural healing methods are always preferable, so your healing strategy may include therapies such as deep-tissue massage and orthopedic rehabilitation. Physical therapy can improve flexibility, lower blood pressure, and relieve pain.

What is PIP?

The State of Florida State requires all automotive insurance to include Personal Injury Protection (PIP). PIP gives you the right to medical treatment for injuries sustained in a car accident regardless of who was at fault.

You must seek and receive medical treatment within 14 days of an accident in order to qualify for financial coverage made available with your PIP. If you wait 15 days or more after an accident to receive medical treatment, you waive all rights to use your PIP to pay for medical expenses or related costs, such as car repairs or wages lost during recovery time.

You have 35 days to submit all medical documentation and billing to your insurance company. Doing so could take care of up to 80% of your medical costs resulting from the accident. PIP limits coverage to $2500 unless you receive an Emergency Medical Condition (EMC) evaluation, with which you may be entitled to up to $10,000 in coverage. Multi-Care Medical provides EMC evaluations on-site. We make it quick and convenient to consult all the healthcare professionals you need to get the process moving and be on your way to recovery.
